  • How differs are UVA and UVB?

    The sun releases its energy in the form of ultraviolet radiation, known as UV radiation which can penetrate the ozone layers to reach the earth surface. Only UVA and UVB can cause damage to human skin. They differ in the wavelength and energy released. UVA has longer wavelength but lower energy level than UVB, thus, can penetrate deeper into the inner layer of human skin. This causes damage to the form and length of collagen which lead to premature wrinkle. In addition, it enhances the production of skin pigment of melatonin, resulting in blemish and freckle. UVB has shorter wavelength but with higher energy level, leading to skin irritation and burn when having over exposure to sunlight.

  • How important is sun protection cream?

Also, more UVA and UVB can penetrate the ozone layer to reach our skin and cause damage to the skin.     50 = The time the skin get burn with cream on/0.5 (Asian can tolerate sunlight for 30 min)

    Therefore, the time that sun protection cream can prevent UVA and UVB for 25 hours

    For UVA, it is PA or Protection grade of UVA, the higher the + sigh on PA, the better its effectiveness in sun protection.

  • When using KA UV Perfect Sunloc SPF50+ PA+++, I notice a separation of some content of the lotion, Is this a problem?

    There is nothing wrong with the separation of some ingredient from the lotion, this is because natural sunflower oil is quite light, it separates from other ingredients which is quite heavy. So, shake well before applying on the skin, so it becomes homogeneous.
